VERY REV BUAH KWOFIE INDUCTED INTO OFFICE AS CHAPLAIN OF ACCRA DIOCESAN MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

The Very Rev John Buah Kwofie has been inducted into office as the Chaplain of the Accra Diocesan Men’s Fellowship of The Methodist Church Ghana.

The Chaplain is responsible for the spiritual wellbeing and growth of members.

Very Rev Buah Kwofie who is the Superintendent Minister of the Kokomlemle Circuit was inducted into office at an Induction Service held at the Bethel Methodist Chapel, Kokomlemle on May 21, 2023.

Inducting the Chaplain into office at a Service which was witnessed by Diocesan Officers and members of the Men’s Fellowship, the Methodist Bishop of Accra Diocese, the Rt Rev Emmanuel Borlabi Bortey charged the newly inducted officer to use his office “to bring spiritual renewal in the life of our men folk” adding, “without the men, the Church will be in trouble because you are the fathers.”

“God has called you because He knows what gifts He has given to you and at this time in the life of the Church in the Accra Diocese”, Bishop Borlabi Bortey observed.  

For his part, the Very Rev Buah Kwofie expressed appreciation to Bishop Borlabi Bortey for his nomination, appointment and induction into office and pledged to discharge his role in advancing the work of God and activities of the Fellowship.

The Service was attended by the Lay Chairman and Synod Secretary of the Accra Diocese, Bro Joseph Eduam and the Very Rev Mrs Doris A. Saah respectively. Also in attendance were Officers of the Accra Diocesan Lay Movement Council, representatives of other Diocesan Organisations as well as colleague Ministers, family members and friends of the inductee. 

The Very Rev Buah Kwofie takes over from the Very Rev Ishmael Francis Tettey Tetteh, who is now the Superintendent Minister of the Mampong Circuit in the Koforidua Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana.
