FEMALE METHODIST MINISTERS IN ACCRA DIOCESE HOLD RETREAT

A one-day retreat has been organised for female Ministers of The Methodist Church Ghana stationed in the Accra Diocese of the Church.

The retreat which formed part of activities lined-up to the mark the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of the Methodist Women in Ordained Ministry, was held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Accra Diocesan Secretariat, Dansoman – Accra.

Addressed by the Methodist Bishop of Accra Diocese, the Rt Rev Emmanuel Borlabi Bortey, the retreat also saw in attendance, the General Director for Education and Youth Development of The Methodist Church Ghana, the Very Rev Mrs Naana Esi Dannyame and the Synod Secretary of the Accra Diocese, the Very Rev Mrs Doris A. Saah.

Scores of female Methodist Ministers in the Diocese were present to celebrate what was described as a ‘significant milestone’ in the Ordained Ministry of the Church.

Other activities earmarked for the celebrations in the Accra Diocese include visits to the ‘Hope For Teens Vocational School’, at Kaneshie, and the Bortianor Methodist School.

The celebrations will be climaxed with a Connexional Commemorative Service on July 16, 2023, at the Calvary Methodist Chapel, Adabraka.
