Christians have been advised to approach the promises of God with a sense of passion and determination.

The call was made by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol Officer of The Methodist Church Ghana, the Very Rev Eric Paa Kwesi Amihere at a three-day Wesleyan Revival Outreach programme organised by the Accra Diocese of the Church at Tesano in Accra.

The Revival Outreach which was the eleventh edition was hosted by the Kpeehe Circuit at Tesano from September 07-09, 2022.

Drawing linkages with the Biblical story of Blind Bartimaeus recorded in Mark 10:46-52, Very Rev Amihere urged Christians to make a firm determination to approach God with their problems, explaining, “If you'll call on Jesus, He'll respond positively”.

He admonished believers to “recognise Jesus as the Saviour” adding, “Take off any garment that limits you from reaching Jesus”.

“Resist any opposition that works against your coming to Jesus”, Very Rev Amihere cautioned, stressing, “Refuse to let Jesus pass you by”.

Opening the 3-day Revival Outreach on behalf of the Methodist Bishop of Accra Diocese, the Superintendent Minister of the Kpeehe Circuit, the Very Rev Joseph Odei Afrifa, explained that the event was aimed at spreading the Word of God to people in the Tesano community as well as reviving members of the Church for evangelism and discipleship.

The Revival Outreach saw members of the Resurrection Society, Covenant Society and Tesano Nursery Society in attendance. Also present were the incoming Coordinator for Evangelism, Mission and Renewal of the Accra Diocese, the Very Rev Richmond Abaka, the Superintendent Minister of the Kaneshie North Circuit, the Very Rev Bennett Ato Wilson, the Accra Diocesan Youth Organiser, the Rev Edward Niikwei Okine, as well as other Methodist Ministers in the Kpeehe Circuit.

Prayers were said for the community and the nation at large.
