Members of the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary (SUWMA) at the Macedonia Methodist Church in the Kwashieman Circuit of the Accra Diocese have organised their annual prayer and fasting retreat at the Methodist Youth Development Training Center in Aburi.

An initiative of Sis Cynthia A. Sackeyfio, a past Society President of SUWMA, the two-day event which was dubbed ‘Encounter with God’ came-off from August 12-13, 2022.

The third in the series, this year’s retreat was on the theme, “Breaking the Family Altars” with Genesis 8:20 as the scriptural foundation.

The annual event aims at sharpening the prayer life of members of SUWMA towards a closer walk with God.

Evang Victor Kekey Mensah, a Lay Evangelist of The Methodist Church Ghana in the Kwashieman Circuit, led participants in prayers which included half-night and one-on-one prayer sessions.

This year’s retreat which was under the leadership of incumbent Society President of SUWMA, Sis Theodora Holdbrook, witnessed the participation of SUWMA members from the Mampong Circuit and other Societies within the Kwashieman Circuit.

As part of the retreat, the organisation donated a glass lectern to the Methodist Youth Development Training Center, Aburi. The donation was received by Bro Nana Yaw Ampofo Ayew, the Connexional Vice-Chairman of the Youth Development Ministry, on behalf of the Director, the Very Rev Eric Gyan. He was assisted by the Administrator of the Center, Sis Rita Ameley Tagoe.
