ACCRA DIOCESE INDUCTS NEW EXECUTIVES OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

The Accra Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana
has organised an Induction Service for new Executives of the Diocesan Children’s
Ministry.
The Service which was held at the Gethsemane
Methodist Chapel in the Mamprobi South Circuit of the Church on Sunday, March
06, 2022 was conducted by the Methodist Bishop of Accra, the Rt Rev Emmanuel
Borlabi Bortey.
Rt Rev Borlabi Bortey presented the Bible,
the Constitution of The Methodist Church Ghana, and the Byelaws for the
Children’s Ministry to each of the newly inducted Executives and charged them to
“Diligently search the Holy Scriptures and nurture the Children’s Ministry by
its counsel”.
The Children’s Ministry is primarily responsible
for the spiritual nurturing of all children within the Church.
The 9-member Executive team has Bro Stephen K. Gyasi
as the Diocesan Superintendent and Bro Emmanuel K. Aggrey as the Vice
Superintendent. The rest are Bro Henry Abaloo, Secretary; Bro Frederick Annan,
Assistant Secretary; Bro Elvis Boakye Sarpong, Financial Secretary; Sis Dinah
Amissah, Treasure; Bro Eric Seglah, Ex-Officio; Bro Theophilus Sackey, Ex-
Officio and Sis Mavis Armah, Co-opted Member.
The newly inducted Executives will serve a 3-year
term of office.
Present at the Induction Service were the Accra
Diocesan Lay Chairman, Sis Agatha Ennin Osei, the Accra Diocesan Synod
Secretary, the Very Rev Victor B. B. Boyetey, the Accra Diocesan Coordinator of
the Children’s Ministry, the Rev John G. Bortey Jnr as well as other Ministers
and lay leaders in the Diocese.
