ACCRA DIOCESE DEDICATES SOUND EQUIPMENT TO BOOST EVANGELISM

The Accra Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana has dedicated a set of ultramodern sound equipment to boost its evangelism drive.

The Dedication Service, which came off at the forecourt of the Accra Diocesan Secretariat at Dansoman on Saturday, February 04, 2023, was attended by representatives of the various Circuits within the Diocese.

The equipment which included line array speakers, subwoofer speakers, set of speaker trusses, digital sound mixer, amplifiers, network cable, power sequencer, UPS, power distributor, sound monitors, flight case, racks, digital stage box, processor and accessories were acquired at a sum of Five Hundred and Nineteen Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight Ghana Cedis [GHS 519,788.00], the Honorary Treasurer of the Accra Diocese, Bro Jacob Bright Donkor disclosed.

Dedicating the equipment, the Methodist Bishop of Accra Diocese, the Rt Rev Emmanuel Borlabi Bortey disclosed that the move was in furtherance of evangelism in the Diocese.

“We acquired these [equipment] to enable us to bring many to the saving knowledge of Jesus, that the Word of God may be proclaimed”, Rt Rev Borlabi Bortey explained.

He underscored the need for Christians to profess their faith in Christ Jesus by reaching out to other people with the Word of God. “We are ambassadors. We come to church to re-arm ourselves so that we go out there into the world and testify and share our faith”, the Methodist Bishop stressed.

The Synod Secretary of the Accra Diocese, the Very Rev Mrs Doris A. Saah led congregants in a prayer session for the Church and the nation.

Also present at the Dedication Service was the Lay Chairman of the Accra Diocese, Bro Joseph Eduam, past and current officers of the Diocese, as well as Ministers within the Diocese.

Funds were raised to strengthen the Diocese’ Mission Expansion Fund.
