ACCRA DIOCESAN WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP SHARE HONOURS WITH BISHOP

Diocesan Officers of the Women’s Fellowship in the Accra Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana have presented trophies won recently by the Fellowship to the Methodist Bishop of Accra Diocese, the Rt Rev Emmanuel Borlabi Bortey at his office in Accra.

The presentation which took place at a short ceremony held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 was witnessed by the Lay Chairman and Synod Secretary of the Diocese, Bro Joseph Eduam and the Very Rev Mrs Doris Saah respectively. 

Presenting two trophies and a plaque won by the Fellowship during the Connexional 90th Anniversary celebration of the Women’s Fellowship in December 2021, the Diocesan Chairman, Sis Mavis Amui disclosed that the honours were in recognition of various financial contributions made by the Diocese towards the anniversary.

Bishop Borlabi Bortey congratulated the Fellowship and urged them to aim more at the ultimate position in future contests.

The delegation, which was led by the Diocesan Chairman of the Women’s Fellowship, Sis Mavis Amui, included Sis Jemima Opoku Boadu, Diocesan Secretary and Sis Esther Boateng, Diocesan Treasurer. They commended the immediate past officers of the Fellowship for their collective role in securing the various feats for the Diocese. 

The Women's Fellowship brings women together to offer them literacy education, mainly to read the Word so as to evangelize to other women around them. The Fellowship also aids rural development through skills development for women in catering, dressmaking, and interior decoration, among others.
