ABEKA CIRCUIT HOLDS JOINT SERVICE TO CLIMAX 3-DAY WESLEYAN REVIVAL OUTREACH

A Service has been held at the Redemption Methodist Chapel, Abeka to climax a 3-day Wesleyan Revival Outreach programme which was on the theme ‘Discipleship: Living the Transformed Life in Jesus Christ’.

 

The Service which came-off on Sunday, January 30, 2022 brought together members of the Redemption Society, St Paul Society and New Fadama North Nursery Society all in the Abeka Circuit.  

 

Organised by the Accra Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana through its Evangelism, Mission and Renewal (EMR) Office, the Wesleyan Revival Outreach is a year-long programme aimed at revival and growth in all the 24 Circuits within the Diocese.

 

The maiden edition of the Revival Outreach was hosted by the Abeka Circuit at the Abeka Mantse Agbonaa park from January 26-28, 2022.

 

Speaking at the special Joint Service, the Methodist Bishop of Accra, the Rt Rev Emmanuel Borlabi Bortey said “God has given us a task of reconciling people to Him. This task is not just for the clergy but for all Christians” stressing, “The next six years, the whole Methodist Church Ghana, we say we have an agenda for revival and growth” and urged all members to support the Church’s vision.

 

The Synod Secretary of the Accra Diocese, the Very Rev Victor B. B. Boyetey led the congregants through a prayer session for the Church and her activities as well as individual petitions. Special prayers were also said for the nation and its leadership.

 

The Very Rev Dr Eric Asante-Danquah, the Superintendent Minister of the Abeka Circuit, expressed appreciation to the Diocesan Bishop and his team for holding the maiden edition of the Wesleyan Revival Outreach in the Circuit.
